Monogram Walnut
Sometimes it is best to leave well enough alone. In fact, we did as little as possible when we finished the new Monogram Walnut Collection. Rather than cover up the most sought after of American lumbers, we help it to become what it is meant to be, letting the natural imperfections and character prove itself as real, solid wood furniture. Monogram Walnut doesn’t just go against the grain, it embraces it. In a world full of filters, touch-ups and artificial effects, the real things have become the rare things.

Common Wealth
A classic style tailor-made for solid wood construction, the Commonwealth collection combines a relaxed finish with timeless design. This whole-home collection features updated touches such as a black nickel finish on custom designed hardware, a flowing upholstered bed with performance fabric, and an option of wood seating or performance fabric upholstered seating on the dining chair.

Adobe
Abode was designed as a natural evolution. For several years, casual furniture styles have sought to manufacture authenticity through finishes and treatments that disguise inferior materials to look as though they were naturally aged. Abode is different. It finds authenticity authentically with carefully selected and crafted solid Alder. This approach is as simple and beautiful as the furniture it produces. We think natural wood materials that speak to the authentic and genuine nature of solid wood furniture are becoming even more important as spaces trend toward a cleaner aesthetic and home owners seek that which is real and lasting. Abode is a whole home collection that meets this moment and perfectly leverages solid wood construction, which is what Kincaid does best.

Plank Road
Inspired by the rugged solid wood roads that America traveled, Plank Road is a tribute to the sturdy resolve that is our heritage. Every solid wood board presents its own personality while playing a part in the broader story. Avoiding unnecessary embellishments, the beauty of the furniture's construction is enough.
The collection features a casual, organic style that blends modern and vintage design influences with the natural character of solid wood furniture. Two finish choices are available across the assortment:
- Stone - a natural brown tone that lightly shades the pine lumber
- Charcoal - just as the name suggests, except these pieces feature the contrasting Stone finish on the tops for a two-tone look

Hadleigh
Like the classic tuxedo, Hadleigh establishes a sense of timeless refinement. The collection is crafted with hand selected, solid wild black cherry from the Allegany mountains with a finish that showcases the natural beauty of this sought after lumber. Within the collection is a balanced blend of the 18th Century classics with modern touches for an updated look. Intricate dental mouldings, reeded posts, bead-framed drawers and subtle hand carvings speak to the tireless focus of the individual artisans. Meanwhile, a nod toward modern style comes from design cues like the brushed gold tone hardware and textured fabric touches. Hadleigh combines the best features of new furniture technology with the authentic benefits of solid wood furniture in an heirloom-quality construction. Notable elements include the Kincaid Soft-Close drawer glide system. Kincaid also utilizes the best of the old-world construction techniques such as English dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes.

Cascade
Cascade was inspired by the unique personalities of its two wood species. A beautifully layered texture comes from contrasting the grain of wire-brushed solid ash against the smooth character of solid maple. The styling is subtle and even minimalist in order to allow the natural characteristics of the wood to define the collection.

Elise
Sophisticated yet simple is one way to describe the Elise collection. This clean transitional design lets the focus rest on the subtle details, the rich color of the hand-rubbed amaretto finish, and the elegant lines of the hardware. Elise is made from select solid hardwoods and is finished with a wax lacquer for a rich, deep character. To lend a family friendly feature while maintaining the clean look, Elise utilizes Sunbrella performance fabric for a color-fast, cleanable, and stain resistant surface on the upholstered dining seats. In addition to modern features like our adjustable soft-close drawer glides, Kincaid utilizes the best of the old-world construction techniques. Such features include English Dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes.

Aspire
Rather than finish the wood to create a style, we let the wood finish the piece. It was this commitment to the natural beauty of solid cherry that inspired the design of the Aspire collection.
Each solid wood board is carefully selected with each piece individually considered based on its natural character. The Aspire collection makes use of the beauty that nature creates by showcasing its journey by selecting the best materials at the outset so that little must be done to make them complete.

Weatherford
Inspired by the casual surroundings of the American farmhouse, Kincaid’s Weatherford collection blends timeless simple style with exceptional craftsmanship. Weatherford is a Kincaid original and is made from solid New Zealand Pine. It takes a number of design and construction techniques from the early wood workers. One example is the uneven board lay-up that shows off the individual pieces of solid wood that make up each part of the furniture. This highlights the solid wood furniture construction and becomes part of the two Weatherford finishes. The two finishes are:
- Cornsilk – a lighter, almost white color reminiscent of a time-worn painted fence
- Heather – a gray-brown blend inspired by weathered barns
Weatherford combines the best of modern furniture features with the authentic benefits of solid wood in an heirloom-quality construction. Notable features include the Kincaid Soft-Close drawer system. Kincaid also utilizes the best of the old-world construction techniques such as English Dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes.

Selwyn
Selwyn by Kincaid balances the ‘best of’ with the ‘what’s next’ in a collection that meets the moment with a timeless charm. Capturing the character of a classic French design, the Louis Philippe inspired silhouettes provide the framework for a more casual approach. The use of genuine solid wood constructed with natural-planked panels gives the Cottage White finish a time-worn and relaxed feel. This mood carries on through the hardware and fabric details of the collection where burnished metal work and understated textures are the seasoning that makes the recipe complete.

Portolone
Made of Solid Alder and select hardwoods, Portolone blends timeless styles from the wine regions of Italy. The collection features all of the elements that make up the essence of Kincaid Furniture from its solid wood construction to the hand-rubbed finish. The traditional lines of Portolone are given a casual sensibility through careful details such as hand-hewned wood tops, hand-burnished edges, and the soft patina from the waxing lacquer finish. The look is completed with custom hardware in a Roman bronze finish, with dark Emperador marble available on select items. In addition to modern features like our adjustable soft-close drawer glides, Kincaid utilizes the best of the old-world construction techniques. Such features include English Dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes.

Cherry Park
A modern interpretation on tradition made from solid cherry featuring a clean aesthetic. Cherry Park showcases simple lines, smooth, rounded edges, radius-tapered legs, and complementing champagne metal hardware in a rose-gold tone. This collection offers an array of storage features in a warm distinctive look that fits well in any home. In addition to modern features like our adjustable soft-close drawer glides, Kincaid utilizes the best of the old-world construction techniques. Solid Wood Construction
Solid Wood Construction
Genuine solid wood is used on all exterior panels and shaped edges to provide quality and beauty that will last for generations. Kincaid does not use veneers, which often crack and peel over time. Many furniture manufacturers only use solid wood on drawer fronts, while the remainder of the product is veneer over particleboard. Edges are typically "banded" with a strip of solid wood to simulate solid wood construction, but below the veneer is particleboard. In certain instances Kincaid Furniture may use other construction methods to offer the most useful, practical, and/or the safest function to consumers.
Drawer Gliders
- Kincaid wood collections feature premium soft-close drawer glides. The Kincaid soft-close glide features adjustable drawer positioning as well as an adjustable tensioning feature for an exquisite motion and a long life.
- Select Kincaid items may use traditional wood-on-wood, non-tilting, dovetailed drawer guides where advantageous or necessary.
Front Posts
- Where the design allows, heavy front posts are used for additional case stability and strength.
Floating Panels
- Raised panel doors and bed panels utilize a floating, self-centering construction technique.
Finger Joints
- All Kincaid solid wood chairs are crafted using a glue and screw technique across a finger-jointed corner, adding strength to the chair while minimizing flex across the joint.
Solid Wood Edges
- Shaped edges are constructed of solid wood unlike many manufacturers who use banded veneers. Solid wood is a superior choice for premium quality and durability.
Mortise and Tenon Joints
- Kincaid's case construction features mortise and tenon joinery, a time-proven method of assembling two parts at a 90° angle.
Floating Tops
- Fully floating tops, end panels, bed panels, etc. are incorporated into every Kincaid product to allow for normal expansion and contraction of the solid wood components as the humidity changes in your home.
Dovetailing
- Kincaid's dovetail drawer construction utilizes English dovetails on the drawer front and back create a tight fit and add exceptional strength.
Built-In Levelers
- Adjustable levelers are provided on all units for leveling doors and on larger cabinets for a center support.
Kincaid, in keeping with its tradition in styling, materials and finish, crafts its furniture collections using primarily solid woods selected for grain clarity, color coordination and design. Combinations of different solid wood species are used within each collection. Not all exposed surfaces of every collection are constructed of solid wood. Wood products, multi-layered plywood, veneers and laminates are used for certain structural elements, including exposed surfaces that support leather, cane wicker and other non-wood materials, as well as in select components including some decorative table tops, table skirts, bed rails, interior surfaces, back panels, pullout trays, serving surfaces, etc. Some of our furniture features metal, stone, marble, granite or a composite material with the appearance of these elements.
Cleaning & Care
We use a lacquer coat as our final finishing process, which adds to the great depth and clarity of our finish. Lacquer finishes may be cleaned by wiping the surface with a soft cloth dampened with water. Our recommended cleaning solution is to mix one tablespoon of vinegar to one quart of water. Use a soft cloth and wipe with the grain. Use another clean, soft cloth to wipe up any excess liquid to make certain the surface is completely dry.
Here are a few suggestions to keep your furniture looking beautiful for generations:
- Modern finishes are formulated to have a high degree of resistance to color change. However, most lacquers and lumbers will darken, or amber, over time. To minimize this effect, furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. If sunlight cannot be avoided it is recommended to rotate the piece(s) periodically to get even exposure.
- All spills should be wiped off as soon as possible, including food and beverages, to reduce the chances of staining or leaving a ring or spot in the finish.
- Furniture should not be exposed to extreme humidity or temperature. This can cause both the wood and the lacquer to crack.
- Avoid the use of cheap, oily polishes or waxes. They will collect dust and over time leave a waxy build up or film of grime.
- Extremely hot (coffee cups, dishes, cigarettes) and cold (drink cans) items should not be placed directly on the finish. This could damage the wood and the finish.
